Aquarian Age: Tokyo Wars(アクエリアンエイジ ~東京ウォーズ~)

I'd like to think that I have a pretty good tolerance for being able to enjoy games despite any flaws that the ignorant masses would normally bitch and moan about. However, even I have some games that I just can't quite manage to even want to attempt to finish. Because of my personal integrity, I refuse to rate or score games I haven't fully completed *cough* unlike all pro review sites *cough* so I have a new rating for games that I'm 99.99% sure I will never finish: orz to signify that I gave up in pitiful defeat. And congratulations Aquarian Age for being the first game on this blog that "beat" me!

I'd like to know how much of the budget was just for this OP

Now, one likely reason I couldn't finish this game is admittedly totally not the game's fault. I just don't like strategy games all that much. I'm fine with strategy RPGs but when it comes to games like Nobunaga or Generation of Chaos (shudder), it's just not my cup of tea.

Even so, I'm always willing to try any game if the cover art looks interesting. (Yeah, I'm still a sucker that way.) This game has some stuff going for it such as some voice acting though the audio balance and quality is terrible. It also has other redeeming qualities such as um... a DiGi Charat cameo and umm... yeah... drawing up a blank here.

My ex-copy of the game already purged from the closet of shame™
The thing about this particular title that made me eventually toss the disc (CIB ofc) into the trash was I could swear the CPU was cheating. (Don't worry, I didn't just waste it, I tossed it into a Gamestop dumpster so I'm sure it's safely in the hands of some dumpster diver by now.)

If you try to take over another territory's square or err... I guess a hexagon, you get to pick 3 characters from your recruits for battle. The 3 possible moves are basically a rock-paper-scissor type system and this is where I felt the CPU was cheating. After winning a few battles, no matter how many times I tried saving and reloading, the game would make me lose. Of course, it could've been totally my imagination and the CPU is properly using a random number generator seeded by the pattern of air particles detected by the console... or something. But I just didn't trust it and that's why the disc will be out there somewhere never to be completed by me at least.

The fact that there's a longplay of this highlights how amazing (useless) the internet is

Steins;Gate

I just finished Steins;Gate and yes, it is 2018. So yeah I guess I'm a bit late to the party. I would've called this a "missed classic" but I didn't really "miss" it, I just happened to watch the anime before I knew anything about visual novels. So if you're also one of those who already watched the anime and are wondering if it's worth playing the game, well, read on to find out!

Yeah, the original art style is slightly different
Of course by now, everybody already knows about this super mainstream title and you can find reviews from all the major outlets including the typical diarrhea job by our good old, ignorant, and kind of retarded SJW champion white knight: IGN (I'll spare you the link). However, only a Jhipster like yours truly or I guess one of those fan translation filthy pirates can make observations after having finished the previous entry Chaos;Head.

Unfortunately, no imouto underwear this time around...
While you don't need to know anything about Chaos;Head to play this game, there are tons of references to the first game, including for example FES singing on the UDX display. This game takes place around a year after the events of Chaos;Head. You would think there would have been a much bigger societal impact from the crazy events in that game, considering the new gene murders such as the guy with the human baby fetus sewed into his belly. (Yeah ugh. I did say that game was Cero Z.) But hey, that was all the way in Shibuya and Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara which is like a whole 12 stops away on the Yamanote-sen so no worries, eh?

Everything is FINE
Fortunately, Steins;Gate is not nearly as dark and gory and while the first game had barely any science, this game really does live up to the Science Adventure moniker. The network security part was total bunk so I'm sure if I was a theoretical physicist, I would be rolling my eyes, but it seemed believable enough to my laymen eyes. The only junk science that really annoyed me was the whole vegetables vs meat theory for Ruka's D-mail. You'll know what I'm talking about if you play the game but yeah, genetics, people! Still, at least it was really cool how the series tied the Visual Rebuilding technology of Noah II from Chaos;Head to Chris's research and ultimately the final modification to the denwa-renji (kari).

Now with 200% MORE SCIENCE!!
Obviously, the game isn't just about worm holes and string theory. The real highlight is the emotional and bitter-sweet story brought to life by the top A-list voice acting including the classic tsundere treatment by Mingos, the timeless loli princess Yukarin, and of course the iyashi-kei soothing sweetness of Kana-chan. Oh, and Okabe's voice actor was great too though I didn't bother to look up his name. (Pfft, males.)

Kidding aside, some powerful story telling right here
In addition, the cell phone mechanic (yay flip phones!) was a lot more interesting than the mousou trigger from the first game which only really had a binary choice between negative and positive delusions. It was especially neat in certain spots when a character reacts if you pull out your phone while they're talking to you. However, it was a bit cumbersome to figure out the exact words to reply to in order to reach the true ending. I'm sure it's possible without a guide if you like that trial-and-error kind of thing but I had better things to do. Still, I appreciate the effort and it's always good to have an ADV game that tries something new instead of the vanilla menu like every other ADV title out there.

A clear case of Facebook addiction...
Score: 4 Bill Murray totally raped and killed some people in Groundhog Day. C'mon, you know he did, don't be naive out of 5 (48 hours for platinum)

Whoa, I don't remember THIS in the anime...
Overall, this is truly a classic in every sense of the word. A great story and a fully polished, fun experience from beginning to end. The music, while not mind-blowing, does a great job of enhancing the mood and the OP of course is great.

Never gets too old for another listen

Honestly, I kind of regret watching the anime first as the visual novel is a much fuller experience. I would have enjoyed this game a lot more if I hadn't watched the anime. I also much preferred the highly stylized art style of the game. In fact, I don't really see the appeal of playing the game with the anime style so I'll probably skip on the upcoming Steins;Gate Elite.

Please step on my face too, Kurisu-sama!!
Would I say this game is worth playing even if you already watched the anime? I think so but I would probably wait at least a few years to make the story feel a bit more fresh as a lot of the mystery is lost. The alternative endings are pretty short and only add a bit more to the main story.

Totally nothing of interest happening here!
While the true ending was a bit too Hollywood happy times for some, they did address this with a surprise alternative ending in a niconico stream of the anime. This was, of course, a tease for Steins;Gate 0, a game I'm excited to dig into sometime hopefully in the near future.

Some bonus screenshots totally not for clickbait revenue. May want to avoid if highly spoiler sensitive.

Danganronpa Another Episode(絶対絶望少女 ダンガンロンパ Another Episode)

Whew! It's been a while since my last foray into the crazy world of Danganronpa, but I finally finished this odd little over-the-shoulder shooter spin off entry with puzzle mechanics and it only took me over 2 years!

That doesn't look... um... appropriate
If you've never played the first game and care about avoiding ANY spoilers, I would recommend staying far away from this game. Don't even look at the cover art as it reveals a lot of what will happen in the first game. But don't leave! I won't get into any of it and I was very deliberate in choosing the screenshots.

No shitty, hit-and-run shocking spoilers in this blog!
I usually play shooters exclusively on the PC with mouse+keyboard but I got used to this game enough to enjoy it. The shooting mechanic is slower paced and deliberate than the typical shooter. So much so, I would just categorize this as an action game with shooting and puzzle mechanics. There are a bunch of puzzle type rooms where you can defeat all the enemies in one fell swoop if you use the various bullets the "correct" way. These bullets are unlocked throughout the game though you get a sneak preview of all of them in the beginning.

The only part I didn't like was the lack of frequent save points. These save points are actually portable potties called omaru in Japanese, which sounds similar to Komaru, the main character. Anyway, it was annoying to play a portable game that you can't easily turn off at any time.

Nothing more relaxing than taking a BIG dump
Speaking of portable, the graphics look amazing on the Vita (incoming switch whiners alert!!) and the settings are the usual colorful Danganronpa style. I especially loved the nice touches for the super stylized fire and swirling sewage water.

Even sewage water looks attractive. Nice water.
Some might say that the Kamaitachi no Yoru style for all the adult characters reeks of laziness but I dunno. If it's all the same to you, I appreciated not seeing a disturbing pile of detailed corpses, personally.

This probably would have been Cero Z if not "abstracted"
The 3D characters for the main cast looked great and transitioned very well from the 2D paper Mario style of the first two games, especially Komaru. And no matter how much it tries to paint her as just an average, regular JK, I just don't buy it. I don't care what the game says, but Komaru is HAWT. Not to mention the fact that unless some genetic engineering dramatically change the average Japanese girl's anatomy in the game universe, her boob size is definitely NOT average.

Game includes profiles of all the characters with measurements (84 cm bust here)
Besides the graphics (great) and gameplay (ok), the real highlight, as you would expect from Danganronpa, is the story. I'm genuinely surprised that this didn't get censored in the West as some of the subject matter is shall we say... highly politically sensitive? Even though nothing is explicitly explained nor shown, it's still extremely touchy especially when it pertains to children (argh, phrasing!).

First game I ever played that actually has the balls to say "child porn". Argh, once again, phrasing!
But putting aside all the crazy, taboo shit, I thought the final chapter was really, really good. It went in a direction I didn't expect and I really enjoyed the plot overall as well as the character development, even though the latter was more orthodox.

The music for the series seems to be getting better and better as this one had my favorite soundtrack so far. Though the list of songs wasn't quite as long and varied as I would have liked, I'm still humming "yeah yeah yeah" as it's damn catchy. Good stuff.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh uh uh

The Danganronpa series has been a sleeper "HIDDEN GEM!!!" hit in the west so all the games are fully localized. Obviously, as a Jhipster, I can only scoff at the English voice acting and lame localization. There is a riddle in the game that uses wordplay about a gunman breaking dishes. Because "gun"(銃) is a homonym for "ten" and 割る not only means "break" but also "divide", the answer is to divide by ten. Unfortunately, none of that makes sense in English so here's NISA's stupid answer to the "riddle".

Ugh, so forced and stupid. English is lame #weeaboo
Score: 4 this makes Lord of the Flies sound so tame out of 5 (20 hours recorded but probably around 25 with resets)

Objectively, this one is a 3.5 above-average game and just a 3 average in the gameplay department. It would be a stretch to say that this spinoff was better than the first two main entries. But I dunno, I just really liked the last chapter and felt really satisfied at the end. So I'm going to just go with my gut and stick with 4 as a great game. No, it has nothing to do with how cute Komaru is... not even a smidgen... mostly... I mean, got dayum, she's HAWT! My score is probably not what the typical Shitaku crowd would agree with but what do they know? Jack squat, that's what.

2 Jhipster thumbs up!

Gotta love the fanart

Sol Trigger(ソールトリガー)

Sol Trigger was one of the first games I beat on the PSP so long ago that I totally forgot about it till now. Even though it's from one of my favorite but alas defunct developer Imageepoch, it wasn't one of my favorite games from them. Still, it has the usual impressive Imageepoch PSP visuals and some great animation so it definitely makes a good first impression.

If only looks were everything

Unfortunately, the gameplay was uncharacteristically well, to be frank, kind of boring. Now, it has been many years since I played and my memory is a bit hazy but this is a very vanilla RPG without a lot of depth in mechanics. Each character has abilities and you can charge them before you use it but I never found a reason NOT to charge them to the max so it was just a tedious exercise of holding R every time.

Why the hell would you NOT want to charge to max?
I still remember the story so at least it definitely made an impression. It was very... well interesting to say the least. Especially when you get to the first ending so to speak. I wouldn't say the story was good necessarily but it was definitely different. One highlight is that Ema is voiced by Hanazawa Kana. This was before she got super popular so her gyara was actually probably affordable at the time.

Kana-chan moeeeeee

The game isn't that long and the replay value is pretty limited as well. You can pick one of the girls (I picked Kana-chan ofc) and it has minor affects on some abilities for a future party member for reasons that will be apparent if you play the game.

Score: 2.5 and optional 0.5 bonus Kana-chan points cause HOTNESS out of 5 (31 hours played)

Overall, in my vague recollection of the game, I didn't come away too impressed though it wasn't a terrible game either. It was just eh, whatever. It at least tried something new in the ending department at least, if not the battle system.

LOL, like I said, it's been a while

Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II(デジタル・デビル物語 女神転生II)

So minor spoiler here but in the SFC Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei remake, when you beat the first game, it shows you going to save in the first floor of Daedalus except in a new overhead view. Then all of a sudden, it pops up an error message saying your save data was lost and that it will reset. OH noes! TIME FOR CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!!!

Son of a-! I KNEW I shouldn't have blown the cart!
Kidding aside, the remake seamlessly starts you into the 2nd game right after you beat the first. When you start the sequel, you are actually playing the first game IN THE GAME. In fact, since you lost your save file, you have to beat the first boss again. Fortunately, it's not actually the same game. The overhead map is WAY smaller and you can beat the first boss in a fraction of the time it took in the original game.

Game in a game? Pfft! Wake me when it's in ANOTHER game... on twitch... which is an app on the character's phone.
I thought it was pretty clever how it pretends to reset your save, especially the part where it totally makes the events and all your hard work in the first game irrelevant since it all happened in a game... in this game. So much for all the Megami Tensei books and lore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This looks NOTHING like the first game! LAWSUIT TIME!!
Meanwhile, in the REAL world (in the game), things aren't so rosy as you are actually playing a computer game not in the comfort of a suburban home nestled in the safety of a decadent consumer capitalist economy (ie US). No, in fact, you're actually in a shelter and not the homeless kind but rather well... you can guess.

Anyway, once you leave the shelter, you'll see the biggest change from the first game which is an overhead map you'll need to travel in between the first-person dungeons. This overhead map fortunately gets rid of most of the pain of running out of MAG by dragging around demons as it does not deplete on the overhead map. You can easily grind some more MAG outside the dungeons.

Speaking of mechanics, in the first game, you don't want to spend a single point on INT for Nakajima because he can't do magic and you want to keep him dumb as a brick for optimal male barbarian bashing and smashing. (#gamergate #misandry?) This time around, they addressed this lack of balance not by actually changing the gameplay but by making you give the main character (you) at least 8 INT to beat a certain boss. Of course I didn't know this beforehand, so I had to grind a few levels. Bleh. Near the end of the game, you also have to waste even MORE INT points all the way up to 25 (20 with Masakado helmet) so you can equip Lucifer's sword and armor. The game does nothing to explain this, it just refuses to equip until you have the necessary stats.

Look at all that INT wasted on... being smart n shit. USELESS
Other than that, and the fact that you can equip guns, this game is pretty much the same in terms of lots and lots of dungeon crawling and fighting random encounters (almost always on AUTO). However, there's just a LOT more dungeons as this game is much larger and longer to beat.

The fusion system is also a lot more complicated and I had to do quite a bit of googling to figure out all the rules and various combinations. It was kind of annoying near the end when you have to fuse very specific demons to progress in the game such as Undine or Gnome.

So Seirei is a special type that requires two identical types... blah blah

Minor plot spoilers to follow, skip to end if you care. And yes, there IS an English fan translation. English, English, English... geesh.

I loved the post apocalyptic vibe as you wander the wasteland with your cool cape and cybernetic arm. Yes, you get a cybernetic arm when a trap rips off your real arm and you have to frantically walk to the cybernetic company with a bleeding stub of a shoulder. You can't fight, see the map, or use the COMP and you lose health every step. Now that's pretty damn hardcore.

For future reference, try NOT sticking your arm in holes with blood stains...
And of course, who can forget the final true boss that would probably give wholesome American Christian soccer moms from the 90s a heart attack especially on the allegedly family friendly Nintendo platform. Thank goodness for ignorance and limited internet back in those days. My advice if you are playing this game is to capture the frog as it makes it easy to see the various endings MUCH later in the game.

I lucked out by keeping the frog without really knowing what I was doing
Score: 3 "Oh our company doesn't deal in evil filth like Nighttrap, senator" out of 5

I personally don't have an animal mask fetish but I won't judge
On the difficulty scale, while most of the game is not too hard except for Zaratan, it kind of gets brutal around the end. Zaratan was garbage because you can't leave unless you clear it and it's filled with damage tiles all OVER the place. I eventually just ended up looking up the map online and going straight to the pillar and exit as soon as possible. I guess you can exchange an item for a Core Shield for the damage traps but it only works till the next full moon. What a pain in the arse!

This was my successful run, barely made it out with almost no MP to heal
While I liked the setting and the story, this game has a lot of cheap deaths and I'm glad I was playing on an emulator. It's not like there's much strategy either as I attacked and healed all through most of the game. However, in the end, I enjoyed this classic or at least this classic remake. It's kind of like a Persona clone that has the difficulty of Dark Souls but with Undertale graphics. NOT! (Sigh... kids these days...)

Memories Off 2nd

So after finishing Memories Off last year, I went and finished the sequel Memories Off 2nd in less than a year, which is good considering the series has been revived and another game is on the way. At this rate, I might be able to get caught up on the series in... 2026?

Oh boy, that's a lot of girls, I hope I can keep up.
2nd is a sequel to the first game in a way that I have a feeling is going to be a signature feature of the series going forward. The 2nd game has almost nothing to do with the previous game so you don't need to play it in order. However, it does take place after the events of the first and only a few train stations away geographically. There's also one character from the first game and Tomoya is now a dog (lol not really). It also tried to maintain the whole rain theme from the first game in one ending though it felt kind of forced.

This game has the usual diverse cast of girls to choose from though this time around, there's a slight, super minor, teeny weensy problem. You start the game with one girl already chosen for you so to speak. In other words, you start the game with a girlfriend, you lucky dog you. And no, she doesn't die nor is there anything wrong with her except maybe her awful taste in men. So yeaaaaaah, you're going to have to be an asshole to get all those other women.

Yup, you're going to have to be an asshole in this game
As usual, this game maintains the series standard as being perhaps the most pure and orthodox model of a traditional galge. Once again, there is almost no fan service and many of the girls have some sort of backstory with quite a bit of drama. There's also many awkward or emotional scenes, particularly when your girlfriend reacts in almost every conceivable way as you break her heart in like 11 out of the 12 possible endings: denial, anger, disappointment, sorrow. I mean, it got kind of ridiculous, seriously, around the 4th or 5th time. If you consider that the list of possible options to cheat with include her best friend and her older sister, it's like JESUS. You are SUCH an ASSHOLE.

Aww so cute. Ok, time to break up this family! #homewrecker
Fortunately, as the After Story bonus scenario shows, the true ending is supposedly sticking with your original girl after all. Kind of boring but of course not unexpected. The PSN 100 yen sale version I played includes Pure Story as well. It was kind of weird that they decided to voice the main character in Pure Story as it kind of broke the immersion. Also, Hotaru sounds very different maybe because the VA is older? Ah, the ravages of time. Oh wait, a Japanese woman, never mind. #loli4life

Hot dayum, she's almost 40 now?

Score: 3 pretty good breaking up with your girlfriend simulator out of 5 (39 hours to complete)

I actually found out while digging into the inner recesses of the Closet of Shame™ that I already had bought a copy of Memories Off Duet at some point which means I own a physical copy of both this game and the first Memories Off. Umm, did I mention I only paid 100 yen for the PSP digital licenses on a PSN sale? C'mon, it's so cheap! SALE!! BARGAIN PRICES!!!

Welp, there goes another 40 hours of my life, down the drain
Given the ever shrinking space left for shit, I probably really should get rid of my PS2 copy but I dunno. I liked the first two Memories Off games enough to want to keep them, which is really perhaps the biggest endorsement I can give for a game. Not the best game but it's definitely good ol' traditional stuff.

Minor potential spoiler warning. Stop reading here if you care.

I do have to rage a bit here on one of the endings which made absolutely no sense at all. I can't talk about it too much cause potential spoiler but how the fuck do you just slap two Kanji characters together and make 2 people into one? Oooh, this is a Uchikoshi scenario. Never 7 reference eh? HA! Feel free to discuss in the comments if you played this game (crickets)...

Ahhh, kyurei syndrome eh? You clever you #spoilers

Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai(初音ミク and Future Stars Project mirai)

Well here we are, a full year after the release of DIVA Extend, comes the first Hatsune Miku experience on the latest current gen technology. The future is finally here! Prepare for amazing immersive graphics with super sharp visuals and... oh it's the 3DS. Oh well, I'll get to Diva F one of these days. Now, on to some SD chibi rhythm action!

Yeah, I jacked this image online cause it's fucking Nintendo
This game actually has an in-game album feature where you can take a screenshot anytime so it's the rare occasion where it should have been fairly easy to upload some screenshots. But of course, we're talking fucking Nintendo here so I was too lazy to rip open the back of my console to surgically remove my SD card and of course Miiverse is already dead though it sucked ass anyways. Ok, I can go on about this all day so moving on...

Unfortunately, probably the biggest flaw in this game is the seriously small list of songs, even less than Diva F extend. You can clear all 21 songs on normal in probably less than a couple hours. Fortunately, at least all the songs are new to the series except Clover♣Club and Finder (DSLR remix). Finder was one of my fav songs from Diva 2nd but somehow I just didn't like it as much in Project Mirai. The long intro with no gameplay was kind of annoying when shooting for that higher score on repeated playthroughs.

Speaking of gameplay, this time, you press buttons that go around in circles and I was not a fan of this new system. The main problem is that the next circle is grayed out RIGHT until you're on it and that's a killer for rhythm games. As any rhythm game expert will tell you, you always look ahead and already have a rough idea of what's coming musically to be any good. It's not a good sign when most of my mistakes are at the beginning of each circle and has little to do with the difficulty of the rhythm. An interesting but ultimately failed experiment.

XXY hold ABBA... it's just blondes and brunettes to me
The biggest highlight for me surprisingly was the ability to watch the non-chibi PVs in 3D. While the 3D feature of the 3DS kinda gives me a migraine headache and some light vomiting, I still felt it was worth it. It is pretty darn cool to watch the video for Piano Girl where the ribbons and candy and other shit falling from the sky is in front of the screen, so to speak.

Imagine this but with shit JUMPING OUT OF THE SCREEN #theFuture #Fad

After I cleared all the songs and watched the ending credits, I couldn't figure out how to unlock the costumes. It turns out that you also have to watch the PVs, which is a weird requirement for unlocking stuff but ok. There's a few points in the song you can skip forward to in PV mode but I still spend a bit of time watching the last minute or so of each song. That will unlock all the characters and make all but 2 costumes available for purchase using the Mirapo you accrue by playing the game. The last two costumes are unlocked by buying a bunch of costumes and beating at least one song with SS perfect score. Let me tell you, getting SS on even the easiest song is a BITCH! After I finally managed to do it with many tries, I got tired of this game to even purchase the unlocked costume.

I just don't care and no it has nothing to do with the lack of panchira appeal
Score: 2.5 I can't even fap to this! Err... I mean the gameplay is flawed! out of 5 (10 hours played)

While I had some fun with Project Mirai, it definitely has some flaws, the primary one being that there's just not much content to make grinding fun to even unlock all the costumes. To give you a brief idea of the economy, clearing one song on hard nets you 1,500 Mirapo and each costume costs 5,000 Mirapo except for the last two which cost a whopping 20,000 Mirapo each. I won't do any fancy math to scare away you gamers but it means you'll be playing the same songs a LOT. Being able to change the Vocaloid for some songs added a bit of replay value but not much.

Also, while I don't mind chibi style, I actually preferred the songs with the Original PV. I actually considered buying mirai 2 because the deluxe version converted the OG PV songs to chibi dance. I probably would've bought it too if I liked this one more but I don't so I'm gonna save my money for um... retirement? Yeah, cause my CIB copy of lain is an INVESTMENT. #sucker

FLOWERS - Le volume sur été -(FLOWERS夏篇)

I actually finished this Summer sequel to FLOWERS all the way back in 2016 but for some reason, never bothered to finish this post. Since I got Winter coming in the mail, I figured I might was well get this squared away. While I lucked out on a ebay snipe for the first game, I got suckered into pre-ordering the rest of the three games like an idiot. I didn't have to preorder because it's not like I'm caught up but then how could I miss out on the drama CD preorder bonus?! I can't miss that! To summarize, I'm still trying to pay back the interest on the payday loan to pay for the last payday loan. Thankfully, there are only 4 seasons on Earth so I'm done for now unless they're going to pull some Venus season or cosmic shower shit.

For some reason, google search for sucker turns up hundreds of trump pics? Weird!
Just like the first game, the art style is wonderful, and the great cast of characters are all back except for one girl (which if you played the first game, is no surprise). Erika is the main character this time around, which is cool I guess. You get to see the main character from the first game so it is definitely a sequel in terms of having to know what happened before to have any clue of the events in this game. However, it doesn't resolve anything from the first game. I'm assuming that will happen in Winter after Prototype has taken all my money (and then some).

You wanna stop by my room after this? For um... tea?
While I really liked the first game, a lot of the charm was in the first impression of the great art and relaxing music. However, human nature rears its ugly head once again as it's not nearly as impressive the second time around. I still really like the series and I will finish all four games for sure but this sequel definitely lacked the oomph of the first game.

Great OP though a bit spoilerish... as usual

What else is there to say except it's more of the same? This time around they "fixed" some of the super niche trivia questions though the convenient rewind feature didn't make it too much of a hassle anyway.

The new character is attractive and I liked their interactions as the two main characters this time around are both kind of assholes (#tsundere). There's some student/teacher action this time as well thought nothing explicit or even barely suggestive. Even when the girls are in their underwear, it's all classy and nothing lewd or anything that appeals to horny, unsightly males.

This is like seeing my mom in her underwear... ugh.
Score: 3 But did they have SEX? OH C'MON! How can you leave that out... AGAIN?! out of 5

FLOWERS is always a good relaxing time for when you need a break from all that hyper sexual imouto, incest, gamergate, Trump school shooting trainer (ssh don't mention guns!), fireboarding mamma jammas CIA shit. Yeah... I'm feeling the urge to dig up that drama cd pre-order bonus right now in fact.

Nothing like a little Yuri to solve all your life's woes

Additional bonus screenshots because I need to clear them from my PC for um... space purposes.

There is absolutely nothing suggestive about this whatsoever

I forget the explanation but pretty sure it was totally wrong

It's been a while so I don't remember what "want to do it?" refers to... LOL
